Paramedic Kerry and Nurse Barbie had the privilege of catching up with the family of a patient they had cared for back in February of 2023. Though her medical journey was a long one, we were happy to discover that she had received her heart transplant and is healthy and well to this day!

Through the countless missions, we are often left wondering what the outcome of the patients we care for are. Believe us, the journeys of our patients and their families weigh heavily on our hearts and minds. We tend to see our patients in their worst, most vulnerable hours. It’s the small moments like these, found amongst bustling activities of pancake breakfasts and roaring aircrafts, that remind our crews that this is why we do what we do. Why we love what we do.
